If you look up the definition of the word sweat, you will find that it means “moisture exuded through the pores of the skin, typically in profuse quantities as a reaction to heat, physical exertion, fever, infection or fear.”

I have them all covered.

I have two sons exuding profuse quantities of sweat through physical exertion during wrestling practice, preparing themselves for their school wrestling seasons that have just recently begun.

And I have a daughter sweating out an infection so deep that for the last eight days, she has been getting a high level antibiotic injected directly into her brain.

As far as the fear part, I have that part covered myself.

There is not one word that better describes my life right now than the word sweat.

Hard work, dedication, sickness and fear.
