Train Your Brain
Practice makes perfect.
We have all heard that saying.
I believe, live practice makes perfect.
I believe, there is nothing that can replace the value of live competition to a wrestler’s development.
Practicing drilling moves is great and completely necessary, but it is a wrestlers’ ability to execute a move in a real competition, against another wrestler who is also fighting to win the match, that is paramount.
Have you ever heard the saying, “He is a room wrestler?”
Meaning, the wrestler wrestles great in the practice room, but he isn’t the same wrestler in a live competition.
Room practice and competition are drastically different.
Every competition leading up to your goal match is just live practice.
When you are up 10-1, remember you are in a live practice.
And live practice makes perfect.
